Discover the living art of bonsai during the 2026 Pikes Peak Bonsai Show at Phelan Gardens!

Whether you’re a longtime bonsai enthusiast or simply curious about these incredible miniature trees, this two-day event is a chance to explore bonsai up close, meet local artists, ask questions, and see the techniques behind creating and maintaining a bonsai.

Presented in partnership with the Pikes Peak Bonsai Society, the show will feature an impressive collection of bonsai created by local artists, from newer enthusiasts to experienced practitioners.

Bonsai Exhibition
Explore a variety of beautifully trained bonsai and see the many different styles, species, techniques, and artistic approaches used by local growers.

Guided Bonsai Tree Tours
Start the day with local bonsai artist David Kuntz, who will guide visitors through the display and offer insight into what makes each tree unique.

Live Bonsai Demonstrations
See bonsai techniques in action as local artists work on trees and explain the decisions involved in shaping and developing a bonsai.

Meet the Pikes Peak Bonsai Society
Have questions about getting started? Club members will be available throughout the weekend to talk bonsai, share their experience, and help newcomers learn more about the hobby.
