**** EVENT POSTPONED ****Just got word that the event has been postponed. It will be rescheduled at a later date. We'll post the new date when we have it.
Come see the feature documentary, PIEOWA: A PIECE OF AMERICA, at the inaugural Burien Food Film Festival.
PIEOWA celebrates the myriad ways pie is woven into Iowa’s (and America’s) culture, the lengths people will go to for a slice, and how this humble pastry can bake the world a better place. The film features comedian Tom Arnold, NPR economics correspondent Scott Horsley, Better Homes & Gardens food editor Jan Miller, and other notable names who appear alongside everyday people — church ladies, farm wives, pie shop owners, State Fair competitors, chefs, food historians, RAGBRAI bike riders peddling 500 miles for pie, and humanitarians. Winner of Best Food Film at the 2025 San Antonio Film Festival and Audience Award at the Silicon Beach Film Festival in Hollywood, among other awards, critics agree, "It’s a tonic for what ails us.” But be warned, it will leave you hungry for pie.
"The taste-good, feel-good film of the year." -- Little Village Magazine
