Park at The Kraken this weekend to visit the wonderful PlowGirl Farm and Dingo Dog Brewery during this weekend's 27th Annual Piedmont Farm Tour. After you check out their cool operations across the street, grab a pint to drink on The Kraken porch for the Dingo Dog tap takeover! The Farm tour is Saturday and Sunday from 2-6pm. The Kraken opens at 3pm but will hopefully start serving a bit earlier this weekend.This is the nation’s largest sustainable farm tour, and you can join in! Explore PlowGirl Farm and Dingo Dog Brewing Company during this rare opportunity to stroll through fields of organic veggies while sipping award winning craft beer and cider from Dingo Dog’s barn brewery. Sit in the grove and enjoy live music by local artists. Chat with the beekeepers and check out the hives. Take home fresh veggies, mushroom logs and Dingo Dog Brewing Company beverages. A little something for everyone!
This is a great final stop, since you can pick up a great dinner over at Fiesta Grill and take that over to The Kraken and on Saturday you'll have prime parking for the The Hillacasters show starting up around 7 or 8pm.
Tour cost:
- Buy a Button pass in advance: $30 (one carload for ALL farms, ALL weekend)
- CFSA Members save $5 in advance
- Day of registration is $35
- or $10 per specific farm
Your button is your car pass – good for a full carload of people. Passes can be purchased online now at CFSA’s website or in-person at various Weaver Street Market locations.
Please park at The Kraken or along Dodson's Crossroads (car must be completely outside the white line) and follow the signs down the path to the farm.
