Piecing Together the Past - Family Mosaic Workshop
About this Event
It is with kind support from Leeds Civic Trust and Heritage Open Days that we can deliver this fabulous and free family workshop!
Join us to celebrate Heritage Open Days by creating your very own mosiac tile to take home with you. We will take inspiration from the everyday life of Ellen Heaton. Ellen was a renowned philanthropist who used to live in one of the houses in which Swarthmore now occupies.
There will be a number of designs which you can choose and then you will be guided in how to create this using the tiles which will form your mosaic. For yonger children, there will be a variety of soft materials to use to create the mosaics. For older children, tiles will be available - the accompianing adult will chose the appripriate materal.
PLEASE NOTE - children must be 5yrs and over and must be accompanied by 1 adult.
Due to space constraints, we can only accomodate 1 child and 1 adult per ticket.
If you have any access, mobility or other health issues which you think could impact your experience of the workshop, do to let us know in advance and we will aim to make reasonable adjustments where possible, to ensure you have a positive experience.
We request reasonable notice of at least 2 working days to be able to action any adjustments.
