About this Event

This past summer at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum, children at the Make it! Grow it! Learn it! garden program, answered the question, “What makes a good garden?” There are many types of gardens: flower, vegetable, formal, informal, wild, community, etc. What is your dream garden? What features do you want?

Through collage making, children brought elements of their perfect gardens together. MHHM staff will present their observations of the children's engagement with their work, and broader connections made while tending and harvesting vegetables in the museum's garden beds.

Enjoy a morning of reflection and rejuvenation while creating your dream garden. Join in conversation with educators from around the state sharing how the practices of Reggio Emilia inspire our learning environments.

Light refreshments will be served. We are all stewards of Earth. Please bring your personal water bottle.

Each participant will receive a three-hour professional development certificate at the conclusion of the event.
