I’m excited to announce Picture Thinking, a group exhibition of photography and photo-based works that I am curating this September at SMART Project Space.
While developing new work in painting, I wanted to spend some time looking outward and thinking about the work of other artists, specifically photographers.
As a painter, I’ve always been interested in the overlap between photography and painting. Specifically how an image can hold a memory, or a narrative, or a feeling beyond what was actually captured. Picture Thinking brings together photographers whose work resonates with me through that way of seeing.
Opening Reception:
Saturday, September 12 | 6–9 PM
