Join us for a hands-on pickling workshop on Tuesday, June 16th from 6-8:30pm at the Westside Complex Community Building in Mont Belvieu where you’ll learn the basics of safely preserving fresh foods at home. This class will be guided by canning expert - Caroline Mercer, and will cover essential techniques for making refrigerator and quick-process pickles, including proper ingredient selection, preparation, and food safety practices.
Participants will walk through the pickling process step by step, learn how to balance flavors, and explore a variety of recipes beyond traditional cucumbers—think onions, green beans, and more. We’ll also cover best practices for storage, shelf life, and preventing common mistakes.
Whether you’re brand new to preserving or looking to build confidence in the kitchen, this workshop will give you practical skills you can use right away. Participants will leave with recipes, resources, and a jar of their own pickled creation.
All materials provided. Space is limited.
