Pickling Workshop
About this Event
Do you have a glut of fruits and vegetables?
Join us at Good Food Matters in a series of FREE, fun and hands-on workshops. We’ll journey through different cultures, showing you how to preserve food using methods such as pickling, fermenting, chutneys and jams.
For our first workshop, Shalini will show you how to make a popular, delicious pickle using cabbage and carrots.
Crunchy, spicy and mildly tangy, the colourful pickles are versatile- they can be thrown in a roti/wrap for an easy lunch, used as a side or eaten the favourite Mauritian way: in a toasted French baguette or pain maison sandwich!
Good Food Matters is a charity. We believe Good Food Matters, that’s why we’re dedicated to growing a healthy community in Croydon – making nutritious produce and healthy cookery available to all.
