The event will feature a keynote presentation by Dr. Andrew Carlson, historian and musicologist at Furman University, who will trace the evolution of bluegrass gospel, the spiritual and communal values of its Appalachian origins, and its lasting influence on American music and culture.
Following the discussion, Tugalo Holler, will bring history to life with a performance of traditional and contemporary bluegrass gospel.
