Pickathon Presents Palmyra live at The Showdown, May 17 at 8PM. Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley trio Palmyra (@palmyratheband) brings their heart-on-sleeve harmonies and genre-bending folk to The Showdown this spring.
Rooted in old-time tradition but unafraid to push the edges, Palmyra moves between raw acoustic grit and indie-rock swell. Think the storytelling spirit of The Avett Brothers and Old Crow Medicine Show with the emotional depth of My Morning Jacket and Cat Power. Their songs explore grief, identity, gender dysphoria, and coming of age with fearless honesty.
Their debut full-length LP, Restless, out now on Oh Boy Records, captures the collision of roaring indie rock and raw folk intimacy.
