Looking for a fun and creative activity for your little ones?

Join our theatre & art workshop where books come alive and children become the characters of a story!

In just 90 minutes, kids will play, learn, and explore their imagination, discovering how stories can turn into theatre and art.

Through classic illustrated tales, children (ages 5–8) will learn basic Italian vocabulary, bring the story to life on stage, and craft their own props and characters in the art lab.

🕔 Time: 10:00–11:30 am

90-Minute Project Structure:

1. Warm-Up & Icebreakers (10 minutes):

• Quick introduction with fun movement games (gioco “Onda” e “Catena”).

2. Bilingual Book Reading & Vocabulary (20 minutes):

• Introduce basic Italian words related to the chosen book (Pezzettino by Leo Lionni).
• Read the book in both English and Italian.

• Pause briefly to highlight key Italian words, asking children to repeat them and mimic actions from the story.

3. Acting Out the Story (30 minutes):

• Assign roles and encourage children to act out their characters using Italian words or phrases they've just learned.
• Reinforce Italian vocabulary with repetition during the scenes.
• Practice the scenes briefly, encouraging children to use their Italian vocabulary confidently.

4. Art Activity (20 minutes):

• Let the children make simple props to represent their characters.
• This adds a hands-on, creative element and helps reinforce character identification.

5. Final Performance (10 minutes):

• Wrap up with a short, informal performance for parents or each other.
