In this engaging 6-week summer session, young students will begin their musical journey in a fun, supportive group setting. Designed specifically for ages 6-7, this class introduces the fundamentals of piano playing through a multi-sensory, developmentally appropriate curriculum. The entire group learns together in a structured, step-by-step format, while still supporting each child’s individual needs.
Students will explore the sounds of the piano, develop aural skills such as listening, matching pitch, and identifying musical patterns, and connect with peers through songs, movement, rhythm games, and hands-on activities. They’ll also experience the joy of ensemble playing and build confidence by performing for one another in a friendly and encouraging environment. This class is the perfect introduction to group piano lessons and prepares students to continue in the fall with our Pathways at the Piano program for ages 6-7.
