Beets is a renowned Dutch jazz pianist known for his virtuosic technique swinging style and deep-rooted affinity for the bebop tradition. Born in 1971 in The Hague he gained international recognition for his dynamic performances and collaborations with jazz greats such as Curtis Fuller Jeff Hamilton and Deborah Brown. Beets has released numerous acclaimed albums showcasing his mastery of both standards and original compositions often drawing inspiration from icons like Oscar Peterson. His energetic soulful playing continues to captivate audiences worldwide solidifying his place as one of Europe’s leading jazz pianists.
