Pianist Jug Carver at Fat Lady Brewing for Show & Workshop

This show and workshop are fundraisers for The Chordoma Foundation, which funds clinical trials and cutting-edge research into chordoma, a type of spinal tumor.  Much of the foundation’s research has the potential to accelerate treatment development for other cancers too, thereby helping more people.

The show will be a solo instrumental concert of originals, jazzy/groovy piano covers of pop/rock songs, and a couple of jazz standards.  Recording is not permitted; thank you. 

At 4pm, there will be a one-hour chord voicings workshop.  Class size is capped at 12 people.  For more workshop info and/or to register for the workshop, please email [email protected] by 9/20/24.  

About the Artist:  Jug Carver is a pianist and singer-songwriter from Philadelphia.  She started with classical lessons as a kid, moved to pop/rock and blues, then studied jazz while she was at Penn State.  Even though her compositions and arrangements have a lot for her fellow music theory geeks to enjoy, they are enjoyable for non-musicians too because the little lady knows how to groove.  You can check out her music at https://www.youtube.com/@JugCarver

COST:  

• $10 minimum donation for show-only (that is the ticket being sold here)
• $10 minimum donation for workshop-only
• $20 minimum donation for show + workshop 

These minimum prices have been set to make them accessible to more people; however, feel free to be generous, as 100% of ticket sales (other than Eventbrite’s added fee) will go to charity :)
