This outreach workshop is open to everyone who wants to engage and connect as well as to artists, dancers, theater lovers and movers of all levels and backgrounds! No prior knowledge needed to be part of the outreach series!

About the workshop:
From Inside to outside / physical theatre workshop
This workshop is suitable for movers and theatre lovers of all levels and backgrounds. I want to encourage curiosity and interest in detail, connection and risk-taking, to grow as a person and as part of a group, and explore new terrain as a performer, using everything that we have as a tool for expression and performance: body, voice, imagination, experiences, feelings, our background and knowledge, dreams and visions, as well as working with objects and the space. We start the class by opening our channels of consciousness, meeting everything that is inside and outside of us. Through sensing our body in its entirety, we give attention to the physical, instinctive, and emotional body. By awakening our voice, we establish a raised awareness of our breath. Through experimenting with all of these elements and playing with changes in rhythm, dynamic, intention, tension and the connection to our bodies and movement, we aim to discover new facets of our persona. We constantly step out of our comfort zone through playfulness, we aim for surprise, and immerse ourselves in the work of physical theatre. By feeling and moving as different characters, we bring them to life and continuously create new extensions of ourselves.
About Marion Sparber:
Originally from Italy, Marion received her professional dance training at Varium and Iwanson school. Since 2014, Marion has received funding as a choreographer from South Tyrol and Germany to create and develop her own work. Many of marion's choreographies are a playful connection of highly physical dance, dance theatre, live music, video installations by Projeto Solo and photo projections by Elli Stelzer. Her piece, Stilles Ich, choreographed for the dance company Volkstheater Rostock, premiered in december 2022 is marion's first work for a state theater. Her work in the freelance scene has been performed at several international theatres and festivals in europe, south- and north america, as well as in asia. Marion has collaborated as a dancer with choreographers and companies such as Francisco Córdova, Stella Zannou, Sonia Rodriguez and Adn-Dialect. As a teacher, she has been working internationally in several schools, dance companies and festivals, such as b12, Deltebre dansa, Tanzcompagnie Rostock, Tanz Bielefeld, Tanzcompagnie Braunschweig, Tanz Giessen, Unusual Symptoms, Of curious nature, Circuit-est, Atlas festival, Pera Gau, Riga on, Tierras en danza, Kunsthumaniora Antwerp, Vim Vigor, The playground NY, Diavolo Company, Performact, Marameo, Sozo, Tanzfaktur, Tanzhaus Zürich, Profitraining Basel, Leipzig, Freiburg, Munich, Luzern, OCDP, Goa contact festival, PPAR india, Cyrculacje, Sfera ruchu, Academy dancer Russia, la Macchine, Nómada and Descalzinha danza.
