The physical ability entrance exams are scheduled for Saturday, July 6th and 20th 2024 starting at 9:00 am. They will be held at the new First Responders Academy Building located at 3891 Plains Blvd in Amarillo. The academy is situated between the AMTECH building and Grace Church. Park outside of the fence and come through the gate to the fire tower to meet with academy personnel.
You need only attend one test - not both. You should wear clothing suited for strenuous physical activity. Unlike the CPAT you may wear shorts. No open toed shoes are allowed. All other equipment will be provided for you. Please plan to be onsite for approximately 2-3 hours until everyone has completed testing. We suggest you bring water, wear a hat and or sunscreen as we will be outside in the sun.
