PhysFest 2023: Exploring Physics at Bristol

H.H. Wills Physics Laboratory was completed in 1927 and since its unveiling, the building has hosted generations of students and academics and has been the centre of monumental breakthroughs in scientific understanding which have shaped our world today including the discovery of the pion in 1947.

PhysFest 2023 is your opportunity to come and learn more about the history of this majestic building and to discuss the importance of UoB's ongoing research in areas such as quantum technology, materials and astrophysics with the current academics and alumni.

The event is between 1:00pm and 5:30pm on Sunday the 4th June and will combine historic tours of the building with talks and discussions about the School of Physics' current research. All this will be interspersed with refreshments and the opportunity to meet academics, alumni and current students.
