About Nemours Estate:
Nemours Estate is the amazing creation of Alfred I. Dupont located in Wilmington, Delaware. It boasts the largest formal French gardens in North America. The gardens are patterned after the famous gardens of Versailles. The exquisite 1909 mansion is modeled after a French château and has 105 rooms. This 200-acre country estate with extensive formal gardens underwent a massive 39-million-dollar renovation from 2005-2008. Today, Nemours remains a “jewel in the crown” of the many botanical treasures of the Delaware Valley and the Mid-Atlantic regions.
