Northern Colorado is a national center for optics and photonics, and FRCC has the only optics technology program in Colorado. Come explore the world of lights, lasers and quantum science at our state-of-the-art facility at the Photon Playground.
This free event features hands-on fun for all ages including:
- a laser waterfall, a laser maze, quantum hopscotch, among many other activities!
- Watch how we can encode sound and video on a laser and transmit it across the room.
- Learn more about optical interference with soap bubble rainbows
