About this Event

Before we stopped trusting images, photography was a tool of liberation.
The collection show by Foto Colectania, marking its 25th anniversary, gathers rare Spanish and Portuguese photography from the final years of dictatorship through today.

​Displayed in vitrines, posters, books, and vintage prints, the show is curated by Florian Ebner, head of the Photography at Centre Pompidou. He dives into the 4,000-piece private Barcelona collection and brings out new constellations.

​See the city's hidden epochs through the camera's eye, and end facing a startling contemporary work that erases its own subjects in real time by Estampa collective - leaving us with a quiet, unsettling question about what an image even is now.
