Misfit Cabaret was created in a mysterious speakeasy in the heart of San Francisco in 2015. Our very first show, simply titled “Misfit Cabaret” was an homage to Broadway, and was the blueprint for all Misfit Cabarets to come- a medley, some original songs by Kat, burlesque, drag, and whatever act would fit on the tiny attic stage we once called home. As we celebrate our 9-year anniversary we are pleased to lean into the Folsom street fair vibe and create a sexy, cheeky Cabaret that feels like the show we have become over the years. Each act in Misfit Cabaret is carefully curated to create a spell-binding experience. The evening begins with a raucous medley performed by Kat Robichaud and her Darling Misfit band, setting the tone and welcoming the audience into the whimsical world of Misfit Cabaret. Throughout the night, the performances flow effortlessly from drag to burlesque to aerial to circus, with each artist bringing their unique flair to the stage.
The live music provided by the Misfit Cabaret band, Kat Robichaud and The Darling Misfits, includes the powerhouse vocals of Kat Robichaud and musical director Brendan Getzell, providing a dynamic backdrop for the variety of acts, enhancing each performance's emotional and theatrical impact. Whether it’s the sultry jazz vocals of Angel Adedokun, the powerful drag performance by Mudd the Two Spirit, the bump and grind vibrations of Porcelain's body swaying to the beat, or the mesmerizing tease of Frankie Fictitious, and Juliano Wade and Jain Dowe providing a comedic and clownish levity as backup dancers- every act is interwoven with the others to create a cohesive and enchanting narrative.

Featuring: mesmerizing live music by Brendan Getzell (keyboard) and Hannah Glass (violin); a performance celebrating the female form and empowerment by local burlesque sensation Frankie Fictitious; bondage and rope artistry by Saki-San; and serenades by chanteuse and rock ‘n’ roll powerhouse Kat Robichaud (before she slinks off to a dark corner to play with her Darling Misfits).
