We already have another show opportunity for you. Yes, that's right, even after our wildly successful Ghost Cities show just a few weeks ago, we are back at it again, in line with our mission to provide as many exhibition opportunities as possible for photographers and photo adjacent mediums. This one is called Nocturne, and we are looking for photography or mixed media art that is on the darker side. Think dark, creepy, spooky, ghostly. You get the idea. During the event there will be a screening of the 1922 version of Nosferatu directed by F.W. Murnau, with a soundtrack made by NIHIL OMNIA (a collaborative experimental art-noise project from the minds of artists Jim Szudy and Shawn Slowburn) which will be playing as well.The show will be held in a gallery in Lakewood. For those of you who aren't local, this is a very walkable area with other businesses around. And since the opening is on a Saturday, we will likely also get some foot traffic from there. We don't have any current size restrictions but if you have a piece that is exceptionally large, please let us know. For example, something over 24x36. All work must be ready to hang with a wire backing, not just a sawtooth hanger. Any work that does not arrive to us with the proper backing will not be in the show. Also, unless we extend the submission date, any late entries after our final date will be charged a $10 fee.
When submitting your work, please fill out the attached Google Sheets form. Link below. We will use this to print up labels, so please make sure all the information is accurate. As far as payment info goes, please do not just put "Venmo" etc. Please put your contact information for that account. Also in the "Contact" section of the document, if you want any socials put on your label, please add them there, but limit it to two, max. You can also add a bit about your piece if you like, but limit that to 1-2 lines. Otherwise the type on your label will be extremely small. You are welcome to sell your work if you would like. For this show, the artist keeps 80% and PC would take 20%. This is far more generous than any gallery offers to their artists, and we cannot promise to always be able to offer this rate, as it will always be determined by what our gallery rental fees are.
