Photo Basics Class - Omaha

The Photo Basics class has been designed from the ground up to be the one class you need in order to get up-to-speed with using a modern mirrorless or DSLR camera.

What is Covered:

We will dive into your camera to get you comfortable in many aspects of modern digital photography including:

- How lenses change the photograph

- Workflow and backup

- A basic run-down of your menu system, including how to reset it when you get lost

- RAW vs jpeg photo capture

- White balance

- On-board flash basics

- Focusing basics

- Automatic modes

- Advanced automatic modes

- Controlling brightness

- Basic composition for better photographs anywhere

Who is this class for?

If you are new to photography or just bought your new camera, this is the class that will get allow you to open up the incredible possibility that modern cameras are capable of. You'll leave the class more confident and will be able to start taking better images immediately.

If you are in need of a refresher, this class can also help you with that as well. It covers all of the things that someone will need to take better images and understand what the camera is doing each and every time you go to take photographs.

What you need for this class:

Please make sure to bring your camera with a battery charged and ready-to-go. This is your opportunity to get hands-on instruction, and we'll be using your camera extensively in the class. Don't forget to make sure that you have space for new photos on your memory card! If you'd like to take notes, bring along note-taking supplies.
