Follow the yellow brick road in this delightful stage adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale, featuring the iconic musical score from the MGM film. The timeless tale, in which young Dorothy Gale embarks on a fantastical adventure with her loyal dog Toto, alongside the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion.
Together, they journey down the yellow brick road towards the Emerald City, seeking the help of the mysterious Wizard of Oz. The Wizard of Oz is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Tams-Witmark LLC. www.concordtheatricals.com.

Callbacks will be held 6:30 PM December 15, 2025, at 401 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air, MD 21015, Susquehanna Building Room 212.
We will also be looking for a Toto! If you know of a well-behaved and friendly small dog destined for stardom, please contact us at [email protected]. Owners will be asked to be onsite with the dog to act as handler when the dog is not onstage.
The Wizard of Oz will be performed live at the Chesapeake Welcome Centers Theatre, March 6 – 15, 2026. Performances take place Fridays @ 7 PM, Saturdays @ 2 PM & 7 PM and Sundays @ 2 PM.
Rehearsals will start in January. Rehearsals will be held on Monday & Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Not all cast will be called to all rehearsals.
TEEN ENSEMBLE ONLY INFORMATION: We are seeking a vibrant group of teens, aged 16-17, to be a part of our production. AUDITION DETAILS:
Audition forms should be completed prior to audition. If unable to complete the form prior, arrive early to complete it. A picture of you will be taken that evening to help with casting.

Prepare 16-32 bars (about 1 minute) of a song in the style of the show, or a song from the show.
Please bring a backing track and we will have a device to play your accompaniment. An accompanist will NOT be provided.
Please dress comfortably and be ready to learn and perform a basic dance combination.
You may be asked to read a side from the script. It will be provided at the audition.
The cast list will come out on or before December 19, 2025. If you receive an offer for a role, you will have 24 hours to accept.
Rehearsals will begin in January starting with an introductory meeting and read through.
Conflicts: Please list on the Audition Form all conflicts, including Saturdays and Sundays, as some rehearsals closer to performance dates may be held on these days. If you are involved in another show at the same time, please note that on your conflict sheet.
Tech Week will begin on Saturday, February 27, 2026. No absences are allowed as of this date. Please do not schedule any conflicting events as of this date. Schedule will be provided in January.
Performances:
Friday & Saturday, March 6, 7, 13, 14, 2026, Call time: 5:30 PM – House opens 6:30 PM Curtain 7 PM.
Saturday Matinees, March 7 & 14, 2026, Call time 12:30 PM, House opens 1:30 PM Curtain 2PM.
Sunday Matinees, March 8 & 15, 2026, Call time 12:30 pm, House opens 1:30 PM Curtain 2 PM.
PFT provides costumes. Actors are asked to provide the following:
Tattoo covering
Shoes – unless show specific
Belts, socks, hosiery, undergarments
Theatre blacks – black pants, shirt long sleeve – no midriff.
Make-up and hair products unless show specific, i.e. hair clips, bobby pins, hair spray, make up remover, etc.
Potentially provide everyday items such as jeans
Water bottle/water/snacks
