E-Bike Maintenance & Repair Workshop
Ages 12+ | Hands-On Workshop
Electric bikes are a fun and practical way to ride, but knowing how to maintain and repair them can save time, money, and frustration. In this hands-on workshop, students will learn essential skills to keep their e-bikes safe and operating properly.
Students will learn:
* How to remove and replace tubes and tires
* Proper tire inspection and identifying signs of wear or damage
* Brake inspection and adjustment for both hydraulic and cable-operated brake systems
* Understanding common brake issues and basic troubleshooting
* Basic wire repair and electrical troubleshooting techniques
* Installing and maintaining common e-bike electrical accessories
* Chain cleaning, lubrication, and maintenance
* Proper chain adjustment and identifying signs of chain wear
* Basic safety inspections to help prevent breakdowns and improve reliability
No prior experience is required. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on activities, students will gain practical skills and confidence in maintaining and repairing their e-bikes while learning how to keep them safe and ready to ride.
Participants are required to bring their own e-bike to the workshop. Bringing your own bike allows students to practice these skills on the equipment they ride every day and leave with a better understanding of their specific e-bike.
