Day One - Midwifery Business School
In this training, you'll get all the tools and materials to allow you to create a midwifery practice where you:
-​Have time for your family, your friends, and YOURSELF!
-Delegate the things you don't love and spend more time doing the things you DO love
-Assess at a glance how your business is doing-- know WHAT needs to be done and WHEN to do it
-Follow all those pesky 'rules' in this industry, without missing deadlines or tearing your hair out
-Grow a staff if you want to-- or keep it small, but still have FREEDOM
-Double (or even triple) your individual income-- the money you take home and put in your pocket
-Create an actionable plan at the end of the day!
Day Two - AP Midwifery Skills
-Advanced fetal monitoring, out-of-hospital NST, and fluid assessment
-Shoulder dystocia prevention and management with hands on mannequin practice and role play
-Internal fetal head positioning & re-positioning; cervical lip diagnosis & treatment
-Non-pharmaceutical cervical ripening & labor induction including herbs, oils, homeopathics, natural prostaglandins & oxytocin release, and bulb foley placement
Day Three - Hemorrhage and Suturing
-Hemorrhage diagnosis & treatment
-Estimating blood loss
-Preventing tears
-Performing episiotomy
-Suturing – Including a 4 hour hands-on session on repairing lacerations including labial, clitoral hood, & 3rd degree extension
Day Four - Phlebotomy, Pharmacology & IV Skills
-Practice phlebotomy skills
-Practice IV therapy skills
-Emergency IV skills role play
-Midwifery pharmacology review
-Considerations for monitoring during IV therapy
-Documenting Venipuncture and meds given
-What, when, why, who, & how much
