Versiti Blood Center of Michigan is hosting a open interviews at our Farmington Hills Donor Center. We love what we do, and we’re looking for passionate individuals to join our team in Farmington Hills !!

Interview Day : Tuesday February 10th , 11:00 AM -2:00 PM

Start date for position : March 2nd

Donor Specialist Driver - Blood Drive team Phlebosomist (Starts at $17.36/HR. evening and weekend differentials available full medical/dental/ vision/ matching 401k. Skill based % increases offered after training.

*All positions are FULL-TIME and require open availability between 4:00am-10:00pm.

Schedule is made 2 weeks in advance but work schedule is determined by times of the blood drives. 5 days on 2 days

Candidates will receive a link to register for the event and must register for a specific one-hour time slot. Please plan to be on-site for 1 hour

What you can expect in this position:

We like to think of our phlebotomists as the friendliest vampires you’ll ever meet. We train all of our phlebotomists in the techniques that will help them advance their careers in health care, while working with a compassionate and mission-driven group of professionals. To get you started on your journey with us, we begin with an eight-week training program. This includes a total of eight weeks of both classroom training and mentorship with an established phlebotomist.

What you will do:

• Perform accurate medical interviewing
• Determine donor eligibility
• Perform venipunctures/draw blood
• Ensure donor and recipient safety
• Operate company vehicles to blood drive location
• Work in a team to set up location
• •Load, unload, and move equipment

What you will need for this position:

• Valid Driver’s License and Reliable mode of transportation.

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Availability from 4am-10pm – Schedules provided 2 weeks in advance.

• Must be able to willing to participate in a back ground check -criminal history , employment verification , education verification and mvr. As well as a drug screen ( we do test for Marijuana ) and a physical which does include a 50lb lift test.

Please plan to be at our facility for about an hour. We will interview everyone intersted but time at the facility varies due to amount of attendandees . We will strive to have everyone leave in a timely manner but delays may occur due to the amount of attendants.
