The University Union is pleased to announce Phlagleblast, the annual welcoming celebration for students, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, in the University Union. The campus tradition, which started in 1999, showcases all of the great vendors, offices, and services the Union has to offer. Various components make up the event, including the game card, where students stop by each department or office within the Union. This acquaints them to the services and resources and they collect prizes as they do so. Students then submit their completed cards for a free T-shirt and a chance to win a larger prize: PlayStation 5, smart TVs, gift cards, and more. We’ll have live music, a balloon artist, face painting, caricature artists, and food. The event is free and open to students, faculty, and staff. Live Music Schedule:
8-10 am ASI KSSU, student radio
10 am The Backburners, instrumental funk
11 am Familiar Faces, rock n’ roll
12 pm Erica Ambrin & The Eclectic Soul Project, soul, hip hop and R&B
1 pm Tay Bridges, a piano medley of Disney songs
