Summer is here and local kids are looking for fun activities to keep them active, entertained, and engaged during their school break. So the Phippen Museum is offering an exciting, new Kid's Mini Summer Camp on Thursday and Friday mornings in June and July for children ages 6-10 years of age. Each day will offer a different theme and young minds will be kept busy and involved in creative, hands-on, art projects and interactive history lessons featuring great Art of the American West. Beginning on June 20th, the Museum’s Education Coordinator, Theresa Filiger, will guide kids through the step-by-step process of creating a variety of unique arts and crafts projects. And day campers will be provided with all the materials necessary for these fun-filled art adventures. But class size is limited to 20 kids each day, so you’ll want to register right away at (928)778-1385.The cost is $25 a day for Members and $30 for non-members. In addition, campers will need to bring their own lunch, but snacks and refreshments will be available.
