Philly Moon Jams • Drum Circle Edition with Keegan Tawa, DJ Shango, Kelsey & Friends • Saturday 9/26
We’re trying something a little different for September: a calmer Moon Jam.
Keegan Tawa, DJ Shango, Kelsey & Friends are joining us for our Drum Circle Edition.
Keegan is a very calm artist, and we’re going to give him space to perform for us and set the tone for the evening, with Kelsey of Spirit Lab there to help maintain the intention. Afterward, we’ll open up the drum circle. BYO drums! I’m not totally sure what this is going to look like yet, but I have a feeling it’s going to work out. DJ Shango will close out the night for us.
Bring your drums. Bring your flow props. Bring something to sit on. Come with the intention of being calm, and help me spread that message throughout the event.
-- September is a calm Moon Jam --
There will still be a fire circle and plenty of room to flow. We’re just slowing things down a little and giving the drums some extra love this month, as requested by the community in a previous Facebook poll.
Quick Notes
• Simple or low-key glamping setups work best.
• The park is dark, so bring soft perimeter lights for your area.
• Fire spin, then fire safety. White gas needed. Safety first & third.
• Photographers are welcome. Please share your photos and avoid blocking the circle. IG: @Minimal_Chaos_
• No ground scores. Please return found items to the DJs, musicians, or hosts, Alicia or Joel.
• We share tips here. Donations are encouraged and help cover gear transportation while supporting our artists and fire safety team for their time. linktr.ee/minimalchaos
• This is a public park, so stay flexible if plans shift.
• Street parking or the casino lot are available. The park parking lot closes at sunset.
About Philly Moon Jams
Philly Moon Jam has been happening in parks since 2015. A shared fire circle forms after dark, with mostly house and bass music and a community gathering that builds naturally throughout the night.
We may be asked to leave at any time, so let’s keep things respectful, take care of the space, and stay flexible.
