Be a living shoreline CHAMPION and join us for an evening of environmental stewardship as part of our ongoing living shoreline project.
About this Event

Volunteers are needed to help create an oyster reef!

We will be wading into the water and passing 30-pound oyster bags from the shore.

Volunteer spots are limited and require registration.

Minors 14+ are welcome. All participants will need to fill out a Liability Release Form in order to participate which can be emailed to [email protected] or brought with you the day of the event.

The GOALS of this project are:*To improve water quality and provide additional aquatic habitat for wading birds, fish, and other organisms*To provide extra protection for the shoreline*To educate park visitors about living shorelines

Funding for this project is provided by Pinellas County and Tampa Bay Estuary Restoration Fund grant.

On the day of the event, please remember *YOU WILL GET WET* so please wear appropriate clothing that can get dirty and wet, and sturdy closed-toe shoes.

Participants will receive a t-shirt and food!
