Each October, POST activities span twenty unique Philadelphia neighborhoods and highlight the creative workspaces of over 180 artists and creative spaces. Great for all ages, POST provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse of visual artists at work through an approachable, self-guided, and easy-to-navigate tour. Ancillary activities include featured exhibitions, demonstrations and workshops, artist talks, receptions, guided tours, and more! No other program in or around Philadelphia consistently brings such an intimate and diverse cultural experience to the community free of charge and across such a large geographic area.
POST 2024 is made possible by Blick Art Materials, Penn Medicine, Penn Treaty Special Services District, Artist and Craftsman Supply, and Sonesta Philadelphia Rittenhouse Square.

As a program of the Center for Emerging Visual Artists (CFEVA), POST creates substantive promotional opportunities for Philadelphia artists, increases awareness of the quality and quantity of visual art in our city, and strengthens bonds among artists, local businesses, arts organizations, and the public. CFEVA dedicates itself to making art careers viable for those who choose them, helping emerging artists reach their audiences and promoting interest and understanding of emerging visual art among citizens of the community. Formerly Creative Artists Network, CFEVA was founded in 1983 to encourage the professional development and community involvement of emerging visual artists. Today, CFEVA’s programming serves more than 400,000 artists and audience members annually. Now entering our fifth decade, we are committed to providing impactful programs to support, equip, and position visual artists as the creative engines that forge Philadelphia’s vibrant cultural identity.
