Phi Kappa Psi Iowa Beta Centennial Celebration

This is the year our chapter house turns 100 years old. My, what stories these walls could tell. But, of course, those stories can only be told by the brothers ... and that's exactly what will be happening as we gather in Ames August 26 and 27, 2022.

12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. tee-off times for golf at the Ames Golf & Country Club, 5752 George Washington Carver Ave., Ames, IA 50010, (515) 232-8334. Cost is $100, which entitles you to golf, cart, range use, and lunch on the grill. Payment will be due when you arrive and is separate from and in addition to the registration fee. 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Welcome Back Reception at the beautiful ISU Alumni Center, 429 Alumni Lane, Ames, IA 50011, (515) 294-6525. (Dress – Business Casual.) Parking is plentiful east of the Center. The nostalgia begins here when you meet up with brothers you haven’t seen in years. Enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres (enough food for dinner) followed by the best dueling piano act in Central Iowa playing all of your favorites (bring your request list). If you’re in the mood for a fraternity party, don’t miss Friday night!

9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm. Activities at the Chapter House. (Dress – Casual.) This is the day to revisit your college home. Come and go as you wish during this time. Coffee will be on starting at 9:00 a.m. Tours of the chapter house will be available during the entire time. And if you haven’t been on campus lately, this would be the day to explore. Central Campus is as beautiful as ever, but, still, so much has changed.

12:00 p.m. Lunch at the house will begin promptly at 12:00 p.m. and will run until approximately 1:00 p.m.

1:00 p.m. Reports from the chapter president, house corporation board president, and chapter advisor will be given at 1:00 p.m., followed by a time for questions and answers and discussion. All activities at the chapter house will be alcohol-free, in keeping with the policies adopted when the house was reopened in 2006.

Parking at the chapter house is limited. If the parking lot is full, on-street parking is usually available on Lynn Ave., south of Knapp Street. Parking at the Memorial Union ramp is also available.

6:00 p.m. The Chapter House Centennial Celebration Banquet at the Great Hall in the Memorial Union. (Dress – Coat and Tie; Black Tie optional). The culmination of a great weekend, a great brotherhood, a great 100 years at 316 Lynn Ave. Dress up and celebrate! The reception starts at 6:00 p.m. and the banquet at 7:00 p.m. The program will include Fraternity traditions and songs, speakers from the National Fraternity and the University, and much, much more. Parking at the Memorial Union ramp is the most convenient.
