PHH Level 2: Advanced Church Safety Team Training is an intensive, hands-on training experience designed specifically for church safety teams, security volunteers, church staff, and ministry leaders.
This 8-hour course uses a scenario-based training format that goes beyond traditional classroom instruction. Throughout the day, students learn critical response concepts and then apply those concepts in realistic, church-specific scenarios designed to challenge decision-making, communication, teamwork, and performance under stress.
Training topics include:
• Medical Emergencies and Emergency Casualty Care
• De-Escalation and Conflict Resolution
• Behavioral Indicators and Threat Assessment
• Suspicious Persons and Disruptive Individuals
• Team Communication and Coordination
• Advanced Active Threat Response
• Church Safety Team Roles and Responsibilities
• Decision-Making Under Stress
What makes this training unique is the teach, scenario, and debrief format. Students are taught a topic, placed into a realistic scenario, and then walked through a structured debrief with experienced instructors.
During each debrief, students discuss response options, communication challenges, policy considerations, lessons learned, and opportunities for improvement.
The goal of Level 2 is not simply to teach tactics. It is to develop church safety team members who can think clearly, communicate effectively, make sound decisions, and serve their congregation with confidence during high-stress situations.
Course Length: 8 Hours
Who Should Attend:
• Church Safety Team Members
• Security Volunteers
• Pastors and Church Staff
• Ministry Leaders
• Anyone Responsible for the Safety and Security of Their Congregation
