Phat Kid Ride: a fundraiser and celebration for Big Mike

Our friend and Phat Kid OG, Mike Torres, has been fighting a pretty serious battle with colon and prostate cancer the last few months. Big Mike is now receiving hospice care and has plans to relocate to Costa Rica to be close to his mother.

Mike has been involved in the Detroit bike scene for years, he's a great and loyal friend to many, and an awesome dad to Cel. His family is tirelessly caring for and supporting him through this transition, and there will be a number of expenses and costs associated. Although the ride sign up is free, we are a suggesting a $20 donation to the family's GoFundMe if you are able.

Join us in celebrating our friend on Tuesday, July 2nd at 7PM. We will gather in Shed 2 and ride out by 7:30pm. This is a grassroots community ride led by volunteers, please come prepared! Drink water and wear a helmet.
