phase:Zero returns to crobar on Friday, 08:28:26. headlined by detroit’s wax assassin, alongside marc lansley, and the phase:zero residents, diving into deep sonic exploration on vinyl around hypnotic rhythms and immersive sounds to stimulate the mind and body.
opening the night at 9PM, we will feature a live experimental performance from side part. side part uses samplers, modular synth, and effects processors to collage sounds of both peace and horror with the same careful touch. her live electronic sets stumble between noise and techno, embodying a love-hate relationship with the clock.
outside on the patio, le schlippy & innergroove present an evening of music to carry you to the great beyond, flowing through the currents of the undertow.
wax assassin is the moniker of 5th generation detroiter , known locally in detroit to be in a dj booth around 3am, or elbow deep in the crates at the record shop. He has been hosting community oriented events coming on 5 years and founded ‘digging deep’ as a party series and later expanded it into his own independent label. raised on a strict diet of midwestern sounds; his all vinyl dj sets know no boundaries, ranging from detroit electro, chicago house, ghettotech, and techno, of course.
