About this Event
The University Graduate School supports postgraduate researchers (PGRs) at the University of Birmingham with a variety of academic, social and wellbeing activities throughout the year. Look out for our other events in our PGR Collection!
Another academic year is here, and what better way to settle into it than visiting Westmere House and meeting your fellow PGRs at this PGR Welcome social?
With free food, drinks, and garden games, this social is open to all but especially for those unfamilar with Westmere House and the University Graduate School. Whether you're a first year or coming to the end of your studies, if you've missed what we have to offer then this event is for you!
Westmere House is the postgraduate researcher hub at the University of Birmingham, and provides a place for postgraduate researchers to meet, connect and work. It's also the home of the University Graduate School, who run events to support your development as a PGR throughout the year.
All UoB PGRs are welcome, and we'll be doing guided tours of Westmere House; come along, see your PGR campus community hub, and make new friends out in our beautiful gardens!

Please note: This event will serve alcohol alongside a range of soft drinks.
This event is open only to University of Birmingham postgraduate researchers (PGR).
PGR programmes include: MPhil, MMus, MRes, MA by Research, MSc by Research, MLitt, PhD, PhD with integrated study, EngD, DDS, MD, Higher doctorates and Professional doctorates.
Registration will close 15 mins before the event start time or when tickets are sold out. We will be checking attendees against the Eventbrite registration and you may be refused entry if we have met capacity and you are not on the list. We have limited capacity so please cancel your ticket if you can no longer attend.
