About this Event
The University Graduate School supports postgraduates at the University of Birmingham. We offer a variety of academic, social and wellbeing activities throughout the year.

Join us for Film Club this April, led by UGS Scholars Katrina and Fiona.
It’s summer! Come along to our monthly PGR film club and enjoy the summer vibe where we will review a classic and have some magic in the air.
PGRs across departments will be coming together to watch Howl's Moving Castle, written, and directed by Hayao Miyazaki.
It is loosely based on the 1986 novel of the same name by British author Diana Wynne Jones. When an unconfident young woman is cursed with an old body by a spiteful witch, her only chance of breaking the spell lies with a self-indulgent yet insecure young wizard and his companions in his legged, walking castle.
Ready to join us in the castle? Let's have a relaxing night and recall this beautiful fantasy.
Film club is a space for cosy relaxation, fun and discussion. We'll also have sushi, comfy beanbags, snacks, and soft drinks!
Westmere is located next to Winterbourne House on Edgbaston Park Road (G15 on the ).

This event is open only to University of Birmingham postgraduate researchers (PGR).
PGR programmes include: MPhil, MMus, MRes, MA by Research, MSc by Research, MLitt, PhD, PhD with integrated study, EngD, DDS, MD, Higher doctorates and Professional doctorates.
Registration will close 15 mins before the event start time or when tickets are sold out. We will be checking attendees against the Eventbrite registration and you may be refused entry if we have met capacity and you are not on the list. We have limited capacity so please cancel your ticket if you can no longer attend.
