To commemorate the official release of the Black Book, a collection of poems and works crafted by Guild members, The Peoria Guild of Black Artists is hosting an Open Mic in the Sunbeam Building to showcase the immense talent and culture in our community. Dust off those original songs, covers, verses, spoken-word pieces, or any other art best fit for the mic and join us on Friday, December 2nd in the back room of the Sunbeam Building.
A sign-up sheet will be available, so show up early to get your name on the list!
Excerpts and selections from the Black Book to be read by their authors.
Drinks are BYOB, and a curated selection of wine and spirits will also be at the open bar (donations are appreciated).
A selfie station presented by members of the guild will also be available.
