About this Event
Join Tournesol Siteworks for a June LINKS course about how amenity decks and green roofs can transform underutilized rooftop spaces into functional outdoor environments. Explore how these spaces support wellness, sustainability, stormwater management, and tenant experience while helping offset the loss of urban green space in dense developments.

Learning Objectives:
- Describe the social and health benefits of outdoor amenity spaces in urban environments
- Identify the contributions of amenity decks to reducing heat island effect and controlling and filtering stormwater runoff
- Review the preliminary structural, weatherproofing, maintenance, and functional considerations when designing green roofs and walls
- List amenity deck landscaping options and their design considerations, and
- Compare the function and construction of green roofs, green walls, and blue roofs
This course will provide 1.0 continuing education credit. Lunch will be provided.
