Paul Mlodzik from LIMRA speaking on trends in the Canadian life and wealth industry. We have a rapidly changing industry with the adoption of AI, massive intragenerational wealth transfer and competition from non-traditional places.

Declines Suck! Join Melanie McCallum, of Assumption Life, as she uncovers some of the common reasons for a life insurance application to be declined. She will share tips on how to have that conversation with your client or better yet, how to avoid that conversation altogether by offering an alternative solution to your hard-to-insure clients first!

Member Relations Director, LIMRA & LOMA Canada

Paul Mlodzik is the Canadian Member Relations Director for LIMRA and LOMA, the largest trade association in the world for insurance and financial services.

Paul is an experienced strategist, marketer, and distribution leader with over 30 years of experience as an insurance and financial services executive. He has helped lead three organizations to industry-leading results in organic growth, customer satisfaction, and/or brand awareness.

He is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI) and a Certified Board Director (ICD.D). Paul is a frequent speaker at conferences on the topics of marketing, customer experience, and distribution strategy

Assumption Life, Business Development

Melanie McCallum has been in the financial services industry for 32 years. She has held various progressive roles in the industry and got life licensed in 2012.

Melanie joined Assumption Life in January 2023 as the Director of Business Development in Ontario to help build the Assumption LIFE brand recognition throughout Ontario.

She lives in Cambridge with her husband Todd and they’ve been married for 32 years. Together they have two wonderful young adults, Lauren, 28, and Cole, 26. When Melanie isn’t working, she loves to exercise, travel, and spend time with her family and friends.
