Peter Serafinowicz is an actor, writer, producer and a comedian, known for a variety of roles and for voicing animations and video games. Early in his career, he appeared on many BBC Radio comedy series’. Peter later created and played the comical businessman Brian Butterfield onstage and the screen. He played the lead character of The Tick in the Amazon Prime superhero series. He cowrote and starred in the acclaimed science-related comedy series Look Around You, from 2002 to 2005, and played Pete, the main characters’ flatmate, in Shaun of the Dead and was in episodes of Spaced, both directed by Edgar Wright.
Peter has voiced characters in cartoons such as The Simpsons, South Park, Rick and Morty, American Dad!, and Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. He also provided the voice of Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace and Solo: A Star Wars Story. His many live action appearances include Guardians of the Galaxy, John Wick: Chapter 2, The Gentlemen, Parks and Recreation, I’m Alan Partridge, Smack the Pony and Whitechapel. As an excellent impersonator, Peter worked on the puppet satire Spitting Image in 1996 and his popular sketch series, The Peter Serafinowicz Show, was broadcast on BBC Two from 2007 to 2008. He played Nigel Farage in an episode of Saturday Night Live UK and will appear in the forthcoming Harry Potter TV series as Peeves the poltergeist.
Doon Mackichan is a prolific actress, comedian and writer, known for many TV comedies. She gained prominence with the Emmy-winning BBC sketch show Smack the Pony, which began in 1999, and also starred Sally Phillips and Fiona Allen. She often collaborated with Steve Coogan, Armando Iannucci and Chris Morris, playing various characters in The Day Today, Brass Eye and Alan Partridge TV episodes. Between 2013 to 2025 Doon played Cathy in the acclaimed BBC sitcom Two Doors Down and won a BAFTA Award for it. She was nominated for ITV2’s Plebs and for playing the agent Jane Plough in Toast of London, alongside Matt Berry, she received a National Comedy Award nomination. Her other TV comedy appearances were in The Comic Strip Presents… and The Mary Whitehouse Experience, among others.
Doon’s many other onscreen roles were in dramas such as Our Mutual Friend and Good Omens. Since the late eighties, she has appeared in a wide range of stage productions, including To K*ll a Mockingbird, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Abigail’s Party and A Respectable Wedding.
