Meet Peter Angelo, the only comedian who can seamlessly transition from discussing the finer points of death metal to complaining about his lower back pain from eight years of hauling freight across America. Born and raised in Connecticut, Peter started his entertainment career as a doorman at comedy shows until someone finally had the brilliant observation: "Hey, you should try this comedy thing." He took the plunge and discovered he had a natural talent for making people laugh – probably because his life story reads like someone playing Mad Libs while drunk.
Picture this: a gay metalhead truck driver walks into a comedy club. It sounds like the setup to a joke, but it's actually just Peter's LinkedIn profile. For eight years, he toured the country in an 18-wheeler, presumably blasting Metallica while navigating both America's highways and his own journey of self-discovery. Coming out of the closet is hard enough without having to do it at truck stops from coast to coast.
