Bellingham based singer-songwriter Pete Irving has been a human extension of a resonator guitar for over half his life. He’s been the band leader for Hot Damn Scandal since its inception just over 16 years ago, and has been composing scores and lyrics for theater and circus acts around the northwest for the past 7.
His solo project was developed from the “play your heart out on the street corner until something clicks” school of instruction. His original music has obvious influences in the likes of Tom Waits, John Hurt, Leonard Cohen, and Skip James - rootsy, lyrical, and unafraid of the blues.
