We’re inviting you to join us for Petals to Remember – a unique and peaceful event to remember loved ones on Sunday 7th July. As gentle guitar music plays we invite you to release petals, light candles and enjoy the nature all around us. This event is free to attend but you do need to register in advance to join us, and advise which of the two venues you’d like to come to.
The petals are provided at each venue are sourced locally from the Kehelland Trust.
We would like to offer our sincere thank you to both venues for supporting Petals to Remember.
Entry for Petals to Remember at The Lost Gardens of Heligan near Mevagissey, is at 3pm and you’re welcome to explore the gardens until 6pm. Once you arrive at the for Petals to Remember, please look for the Cornwall Hospice Care representatives near admissions who will sign you in for the event and direct you to the area of the gardens in which the petal release will take place. The petals are provided.
Heligan is one of the most mysterious estates in England. Lost to the brambles of time since the outbreak of World War One, this Sleeping Beauty was re-awakened in 1990 to become Europe’s largest garden restoration project. Today Heligan’s 200 acres are a paradise for the explorer, wildlife, plant lover and garden romantic.
Approximately 13 acres of this can be accessed via even paths including; Productive Gardens, Pleasure Grounds and Home Farm as well as access to the Steward’s House. The Gardens lie on a gentle downhill gradient, so please remember this when you want to make your way back to the exit. The Jungle and Wider Estate are unfortunately not easily accessible to everyone. Heligan has ample toilet facilities on arrival and at the Steward’s House, including accessible toilets.
You can view and download the Accessible Heligan garden map here. You can also find out more about accessibility and facilities at Heligan on their own Accessibility webpage.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are near Mevagissey on the B3273 and is easily found by following the brown tourist signs to The Lost Gardens of Heligan. For more details on how to get to The Lost Gardens of Heligan, please visit their website How To Find Us page.
You must register in advance on the Cornwall Hospice Care website.
