This is a pet-friendly, open-concept community social. Dogs on standard leashes, as well as cats in secure travel carriers, are warmly welcomed. Explore our interactive stations at your own pace throughout the afternoon:
- 📸 Professional Autumn Studio Portrait by Tripdog Photography: Step into a cozy autumn studio set featuring real pumpkins, rustic hay bales, and an elevated pet posing platform. Includes 1–2 professionally edited, high-resolution digital portraits delivered via a private online gallery.
- 🐾 Mess-Free Paw-Art Keepsake Magnet: Craft a custom Halloween fridge magnet using mess-free "Clean-Touch" ink pads and fine-tip paint pens—no ink ever touches your pet’s paws!
-🦴 "Trick-for-Treat" Bar & 2-Minute Survey: Have your pup show off a favorite trick (or share your cat’s favorite quirk) to earn immediate sample bites of single-ingredient Canadian treats. Pet parents will complete our quick 2-minute community survey on their phone while curating their pet’s favorite proteins to claim their sealed, custom Treat Box and pre-launch VIP perks before heading home!
- ☕ Human Snack Lounge: Relax, connect with fellow local pet lovers, and enjoy warm spiced cider, cold sparkling waters, and tasty fall treats!
- 👑 Halloween Costume Contest: Strut your stuff! Human pet parents will wear contestant number badges to vote on three superlatives: Most Creative Costume, Best Human & Pet Duo, and Crowd Favorite Spooktacular for a chance to win full-size prizes!
Household & Multi-Pet Guidelines:
- Humans Attend Free: Bring your partner, kids, or friends at no extra cost (please add a free "Additional Human Guest" ticket so plenty of refreshments are ready)!
- 1 Pet Included: General Admission covers up to 1 pet per household. If you are bringing a 2nd pet, please select the Additional Pet Add-On ($15) to cover additional studio portrait time, extra craft supplies, and a second custom treat box.
- Safety Protocols: Dogs must remain on a standard 4-to-6-foot flat leash at all times. Cats must remain in secure, enclosed carriers until their turn at the photo studio or craft table.

Our goal is to create a space for both ends of the leash.
What does that even mean?
We think your pet might be better at making friends than you are. We should probably take advantage of that.
Somehow, having more ways to stay connected has left us with fewer places to actually get to know each other. Beyond dog parks, there aren’t many spaces where people and their companion animals can truly become regulars together. Pets already give us a reason to change that—they get us out of the house, introduce us to our neighbours, and make it surprisingly easy to talk to someone we might never have met otherwise.
Opening our flagship boutique in NW Calgary in early 2027, Parkside Pets is building an independent, tech-forward pet supply shopping experience and community hub that believes pets deserve to participate, not just tag along. We're making room for that to happen through:
