(english below)Három éve, amikor elkezdtem yo8vagyat néven amolyan neohungaro-semislavic lakásvacsorákat tartani, összefújt az insta a pesten élő teheráni Saraval, aki szintén a lakásában a saját génállományából inspirálódva perzsa vacsorákat tartott, csak ő meg Persia on a plate néven.
Nemrég rám írt, I’m back! Szóval nem szabad tovább halogatni, itt a három éve dédelgetett vacsora
A perzsa-magyar öszvér kanca, ami rácsettint a két konyha hasonlóságaira, a csombordra a töltött káposztában, a verzsüre, meg arra, hogy a kask valszeg mindig is brinza akart lenni, vagy fordítva. Kardamom, menta, trianonterrier, marosi rózsa - itt minden egybe fog kelni.
A helyszín a népszigeti motorműhelyből lett Atno, ahova szokásos bulira várunk titeket: nagy közös kajálással, Telenkó Ábel kedvenc témába illő zenéivel, kocsmával és saját alkoholmentesekkel, ciripeléssel, nyárestével.
és még pár gondolat Saratól
I’m an Iranian woman raised in Tehran.
I learned to cook from my mother and my aunts, who taught me that food is more than something we eat. It carries memory, love, and connection.
Through my work, I share Iranian food and culture as I experienced it growing up. From the first moment I discovered Vera’s creative culinary world, I felt inspired. I knew I wanted to create something beautiful with her around food. Now that vision is coming to life, and I’m incredibly excited to share it with you.

ENG:
Three years ago, when I started hosting these sort of “Neo-Hungaro-Semislavic” home dinners under the name yo8vagyat, Instagram connected me with Sara, a Tehran native living in Budapest, who was also hosting Persian dinners in her apartment, inspired by her own heritage—only she called hers “Persia on a Plate.” We struck a deal: we’d go over to each other’s places to eat.
From then on, it was obvious that we wanted to do something together. In the meantime, Sara had a baby—a wonderful little girl—and yo8 had flown the nest. She messaged me recently: “I’m back!” So we can’t put it off any longer—here’s the dinner we’ve been dreaming about for three years.
The Persian-Hungarian hybrid mare that highlights the similarities between the two cuisines—the stuffed cabbage rolls, the verjus, and the fact that kask probably always wanted to be brinza, or vice versa. Cardamom, mint, trianonterrier, Maros rose—everything will come together here.
The venue is Atno, a former motorcycle workshop on Népsziget, where we’re waiting for you for our usual party: a big communal feast, accompanied by Ábel Telenkó’s music fitting the theme, a pub and our own non-alcoholic drinks, chirping, and a summer evening.
