This October's Perth Sewing and Craft Extravaganza, we (Perth Sewing Centre) are holding a Machine-Embroidery art quilt competition!All quilt entries will be put on display at our stand at the October Extravaganza (Running October 8-9th weekend at the Cannington Showgrounds.)
Attendees will be encouraged to vote on their favourite entry -- if you receive the winning amount of votes among event attendees, you will win an amazing prize hamper valued at over $400, filled with sewing goodies, supplies and accessories!

THEME: To celebrate the theme of our amazing Western Australian & Perth craft businesses and suppliers, we have decided to go with the theme of ‘Light’ – as Perth is of course, the city of lights!
Create your art quilt around the theme or idea of ‘Light’ – it could be sunlight, candle light, starlight, street lights, or the light from your phone screen at 2:00am! Whatever inspires you when the word ‘Light’ comes to mind.
SIZE: Art Quilt entries should adhere to an 18 inch square (45.75cm).
RULES: Your machine-embroidery art quilt entry should feature machine embroidery in some application, and will be judged with this as a primary factor – however, please feel free to use whatever other sewing and quilting techniques you have at your disposal.
Binding does not need to be hand-sewn (wahoo!)
CUT-OFF DATE: You must have dropped your art quilt entry off at the Perth Sewing Centre store by Thursday the 6th of October.
Winner will be announced after all votes from the Extravaganza have been counted.
