Perth Korean Film Festival 2026

영화로마음을잇다
CONNECTING HEARTS THROUGH FILM
The inaugural Perth Korean Film Festival is a new celebration of Korean cinema, bringing audiences together through the power of film, culture and shared stories.
Organised by S2Co, the Festival will be presented at The Backlot Perth, an intimate 50-seat, DCP-capable cinema located in West Perth. The venue provides the perfect setting to discover Korean cinema on the big screen while creating opportunities for conversation, connection and cultural exchange.
Under the theme “Connecting Hearts Through Film” (영화로 마음을 잇다), the Festival will showcase the creativity, diversity and distinctive storytelling that has made Korean cinema such an influential force internationally.
More than a series of screenings, the Perth Korean Film Festival aims to create a meeting place for Perth’s Korean community, film lovers and audiences curious to discover more about contemporary Korean culture.

This inaugural Festival is the beginning of what we hope will become an annual celebration — building stronger cultural connections between Korea and Western Australia, one film at a time.
