Tucked away in the Print Hall basement is the fabulous Small Print cellar space, where we will enjoy a specially curated two-course Italian dinner accompanied by matching wines from 3drops. The evening will also support Mission Australia, with an update on its important work and insights into how safe housing, practical support, and stronger communities can transform lives.

About Professor Kate Brooks
Professor Kate Brooks is CEO of Containers for Change WA, an accomplished organisational leader whose career spans engineering, digital technology, space science, innovation, commercialisation, and business transformation.
Previously, Kate was Head of Curtin University’s School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences, where she led a large multidisciplinary portfolio focused on research, automation, innovation, and the technologies shaping Western Australia’s future.
She also serves as a Non-Executive Director of the Lions Eye Institute. Kate's previous roles include Deputy Head of Operations at CSIRO Astronomy and Space Science, State Director of the WA Life Sciences Innovation Hub, and Innovation Manager at Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers. She has also advised growth-stage businesses through the Australian Government’s Entrepreneurs’ Programme.
A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Kate is known not only for the breadth of her leadership experience but also for the energy, warmth, and humanity she brings to every room.
About Professor Gina Ravenscroft
Professor Gina Ravenscroft is an internationally recognised researcher working to uncover the genetic causes of rare diseases, particularly those affecting babies and children.
She is the inaugural Dr Patricia Kailis Chair in Rare Diseases at The University of Western Australia as part of the WA Rare Care Comprehensive Centre.
Gina has been awarded more than $27 million in research funding and leads the Discovery-Enabled Diagnostics flagship of the $221M Rare Care Comprehensive Centre.
Her work has contributed to the identification of more than 30 previously unknown human disease genes and is helping families receive answers, understand their options, and access more informed care.
Gina is also leading important research at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research into recurrent miscarriage, a genetic contribution that remains largely unexplored and one which Gina is committed to shedding light on.
Gina is a passionate advocate for women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Her story is one of intellectual curiosity, persistence, and a deeply human commitment to improving the lives of children and families.
About Sue Budalich
With more than 30 years’ experience across government, consulting, and the for-purpose sector, Sue Budalich is Mission Australia’s State Director for Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Her portfolio spans housing, homelessness, mental health, family and domestic violence, youth, disability, and alcohol and other drug services.
Sue’s career has taken her from the classroom to Parliament House and into senior leadership roles across complex human services systems. One of her most significant achievements has been helping introduce Western Australia’s first Common Ground initiative in East Perth, delivering a housing-first response for people experiencing chronic homelessness.
Known for her warmth, clarity, humour, and no-nonsense leadership style, Sue is passionate about turning strategy into action, building strong partnerships, and using leadership to open doors for others. At the heart of her work is a deep commitment to social justice and creating practical, lasting impact for people and communities.
